Pleasant Valley Parking Lot and Playground

A Quick Reminder About Parking Lot Safety

As we begin the school year, we’d like to offer a friendly reminder about safety in and around our parking lot. Over the years, we’ve had a few close calls and minor fender-bender incidents, most often during pickup and arrival when many vehicles and pedestrians are moving at the same time.
Please help us keep everyone safe by:

  • Driving slowly and carefully in and around the school.
  • Being patient and avoiding turns or maneuvers that disrupt the normal flow of traffic.
  • Keeping the red-marked fire lane clear. This area must remain open at all times for emergency access.
  • Keeping students out of the parking lot whenever possible. If students need to cross to the other side of the parking lot or street, please have them use the sidewalks.
  • Reminding students not to walk between or across parking spaces to reach a parent’s car. A vehicle pulling into a space may not see a child walking through it.

We know that arrival and dismissal can be busy, and we truly appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation. A few extra seconds of caution can make a big difference in keeping our students, families, and staff safe.
Thank you for helping us make safety a priority!
